"BUKEM IN SESSION"

On September, 20 in "Lemberg" exposition hall the First Lviv Rave has finished its dancing and ratteling action. Dedicated to the 15-th anniversary of "Dzyga" and the second anniversary of recording label "drum’n’bass session music" neither buffet tables nor advertising campaigns with boring clowng, but a grand motion, available for two thusands of club culture addicts. The first Lviv rave bears this name not in vain. Till now there were not such an extensive club actions that could name itself a rave. As a result just when Lviv suburbs drowned into twilight, exposition hall transformed to a destination of pilgrimage of drum'n'bass adepts. The plentitude of visitors was expected: first, there was yet no opportunity to listen to the legendary DJ Bukem on the post-soviet land, and second, the Rave was initiated by famous Lviv DJs Derrick and Tonika.
Inhabitants of the suburbs had probably not seen such a confluence of dressed in bright colours clubbers, thus decided not to come near. A multiultural queue waiting for the tickets, grasped the last flyers and bought out all the stock of goods from the nearest stalls; mist from synchronous smoking of a hundreds of visitors and uproar stood in the air. This all set a rhythm that DJs could only catch up and correct a bit.
At 21 o'clock, when at least a few hundreds of clubbing fans gathered in the hall, polish experimental ambient musicians Zenial and Jacarek started. Zenial is a sound designer, electronic music composer and a performancist. Jacarek in addition is a producer. They were engaged to the performance that "Media Depot" presented during the Contemporary art week. Teir complicated sets and digitally processed viola ound made the listeners' brains to explode. From time to time some clubbers ran out in awe for a smoking breakand to share rapt opinions.
Later on the d'n'b community divided into fan-clubs of favourite DJs. But unlike any other competiting fans these did not start any fights, and cut loose as they could. Perhaps, it was more extreme then a fight.
Since 22 o'clock MaxNRG, Derrick, Tonika, Insane, Marik and Kind Of Zero started their sets. DJs Marik and MaxNRG presented debut album of their DJ band Funk Masters. Such a storm in sea of humans could rarely be seen even on punk festivals. The amplitude of dress style varied from glam to neckties, and of the mood - from euphoria to orgasm.
And finally at 1 am headliner of the party DJ Bukem supported by MC Conrad came to the turn-tables. From the first shouts of MC and first vinyls, played by Buckem, evebybody started to shake in trance. Headliners performed classic hits by Good Loking Records as well as extra fresh tunes and created an awesome atmosphere.
