Andrij Pidpalyj: Poetry Without Geopolitics & Cruel Political Practice.

As it sometimes happens with our “CABINET” meetings, our format /90 minutes/  conversation touches some  topics that are discussed with a guest - author on the eve /when we get to know & try to learn each other & so on/.  Usually, that “preparation” is a certain background, we appeal to  during our literary meetings. Unfortunately, the most interesting topics from Pidpalyj’s self –presentation remained outside the meeting, namely: the theme of his tough engagement in all sorts of  political consultations,  his participation in electoral campaigns &  internal critics, his reflections /as a poet/ concerning such like  activities.

Before the meeting he just conditioned that her  would not like to  touch these topics. So, what is left outside the frame, outside of "sound"? It is important to say, at least in a schematic way, as it defines his personality, his personal nature.
How to say about the most important, when you promised not to divulge the most important things for him?
So, his attitude to the world as a whole - a total war sermon. That subject is extremely important in the global cultural studies, philosophy or political studios. It makes no sense to develop that topic specifically, as he who seeks he finds  detailed information. It is important to note some tags without which it’s uqite impossible to identificate Pidpalyj. The next feature of his Weltanschauung is his consistent Robespierre–ism . Two of these elements lead him to completely non-standard look at our /Ukrainian/ present  cultural-political situation & our identification in the world. Ukraine for him is a space & place  of the last European revolution, which was hardly started & the more hardly was ended in 2004. According to him, we have a chance to give the birth to a completely new universe, an unexpected & not desirable for the world one, a new version of democracy or a new type of structure that comes to change it. In his opinion Ukraine is in the center of  very serious geopolitical vortex. Consciously or unconsciously we are on completely new & at the same time,  the latest European-type barricades. That is, the world history is taking place here and now.
 Maybe some day he’ll talk about all the above mentioned things &  believe me, it is worth it, as the  most usual for us things are turned upside down.
And now our best regards to him in America / in his  at least half-year "exile"/.
