Location: center city, the dead-end of Virmens’ka street, one of the oldest streets in L’viv and the one of great historical & architectural value. Dzyga Gallery was founded in 1977. Since then & up to January 2009 it has held 394 exhibitions, 117 performances and other innumerable artistic events and attractions. . All together they’ve met more than 1,5 million of participants, visitors and on-lookers. An unchallenged leader of the Gallery is Volodymyr Kaufman, artist, one of the founders of the Dzyga Art Association
The current year the Gallery is intended to present many significant projects of prominent Ukrainian and foreign artists, considering actual art as a priority. A long-term conceptual project Social-ka has started its” life” in the entrance-hall of the Gallery and the first floor, the site of art-café Kvartyra35 /Flat 35/, will be placed at the disposal of permanent photo exhibitions.
