    MARRIX.

Accordingly  to the stated purposes & objectives of our Club,  its activity  provides for the following Club’s practices:

       - Afftar parties. We are going to hold artists’ “soirees” after the opening of solo exhibitions /about in a half an hour/.    Artists will have the opportunity to explain the concept of their projects, to talk about their work and creative way in the photography, to demonstrate another works from the current project & other series or single photos made in previous years. We’ll show photo-films about artists’ creativity.Authors will answer some questions, they’ll hold autograph sessions and just informal conversations in a comfortable atmosphere.

       - PhotoWeek. In a week after opening the project we are planning the organization of Club’s meetings with the aim to discuss an aforegoing photo exhibition. So, we will present as some deliberations of the exposed works and the broader philosophical aspects of contemporary photography. Besides, “almost an official opponent” is supposed to be appointed and that one will prepare a small report on actual & current topics. 

- Jam-folio. One of the main aspects of the Club’s activity  will be the demonstrations of the Club- members’ portfolio. We consider Jam-folio to be /may be/ the most important thing both for young & experienced artists as portfolio- review is considered to be the main form of acquaintance with a photographer, his promotion in the world of contemporary photography, his introduction to gallerists and curators. Thus, all Club’s neophytes will be proposed to present their portfolios, but the refusal to do that  will not prevent joining the Club.

- Kvartyra 35/Apartment 35/. It’s one of the most pleasant aftereffect of Jam-folio. The Photo-Club Council members can propose one of the “reviewed” artists to organize its solo-exhibition in the gallery “Kvartyra 35”. For young photographers it’s quite possible to get a direct proposition to arrange a personal exhibition in the format "5 x 5" within the main art project. The authors of the rejected project will have the opportunity to apply with completely new projects.

       - Together. The Club’s members always will have a chance to participate in group-exhibitions to be held /as usual/ in the gallery of the art-café “Kvartyra 35”. Those exhibition are going to be as conceptual and as the results of inner-Club’s & open competitions.

      - Competition. One of the main Club’s activities is the organization of both open & inner-club’s competitions.  The works can be presented in electron or print format. And the Board of the Club’s founders promises an authoritative and fair jury, good prizes and  prestigious final exhibition.

       - “Dzyga” Scholarship. An annual competition /“Dzyga Scholarship”/ for young photographers who will be provided for the implementation of contemporary photo-projects, is considered to be the most prestigious one. The main purpose of this competition is the selection of a talented young artist or a group of photo-artists  to participate in the Week of Contemporary Art.

       - Master-classes. Photo-Club will also organize multi-day master classes conducted by the prominent Ukrainian photographers. The Club’s members are proposed substantial discounts. 
      
But the most important thing is that the Photo-Club “5x5” provides for non-stop informal uintercommunication in good company & comfortable atmosphere.
