There’s still some time left till the official opening of the  Festival “Jazz Bez-2009”,   but talks  about it have been conducting  from long ago & in  different formats.

 

The first “snowdrop” of the Festival occurred to be the meeting with Yuriy Yaremchuk,  one of the patriarchs of L’viv jazz  in the art-café “Cabinet”. Later on  the jazzman met with the  fans of jazz and photography in the Photo-.Club “Ch/B 5x5 ". The Club presents  Kostya Smolyaninov’s  exhibition " Jazz Bez. Intro ". The exhibition is traditionally  exposed partly on the facade of the Photo-Club   and partly inside it. 10 Kostya’s photos /  he’s a permanent “worker” of  the jazz festivals/  are a sort of  report of previous years and at the same time his exhibition is a prelude of  the current  year event.

Ten photographs – it’s too little to convey all the colors, drive, emotions and craziness of the unique L’viv Festival  “Jazz Bez”. So, it was not easy to  choose them from the thousands”.

- As Jazz Bez changed over the years in your viewfinder?

- At all festivals Jazz Bez was not - I'm not that old (laughs - BG). But what I have seen, over the years was postponed a little in my mind, "and fermentuvalo vypadalo in sediment. And only about one of the last festivals to understand exactly what and how I shoot. How now, remember, it happened to one of the concerts of the outstanding saxophonist Yuri Yaremchuk.
